Stacey Smith

Habitat: So tell me a little about your last season in league.
Stacey: It was pretty good. I played 3.5 and had a winning record in doubles.
Habitat: I remember seeing you play last year at 3.0. You came so far so fast.
Stacey: Thanks. It's starting to come together faster lately. I am actually playing 4.0 in tournaments.
Habitat: Wow. Very impressive, Stacey. What's your secret?
Stacey: I am playing a lot more matches, even when I practice, so I guess I am getting match tough.
Habitat: Tell me a little about your playing style.
Stacey: I prefer doubles, so I naturally prefer net play, but it is fun to hit a big forehand every now and then.
Habitat: I could see that from the video you did. That poor guy.
Stacey: (Laughs)
Habitat: In your opinion, what does the local tennis community need?
Stacey: More multi-court public facilities with adult tennis programs...more Sunset Parks, that would be a great place to play, they just need to resurface the courts.
Habitat: Where do you see your game going? Any aspirations for 4.5?
Stacey: Uh..let me get to 4.0 league play first and then we will talk.
Habitat: Fair enough. Have a good season. Thanks, Stacey.
